Is there any way I can complete The Lost Patrol without handing the Network Scanner holotape to Proctor Ingram first? I'm playing on PS4, if that matters. The problem is, I'm trying to keep in the good graces of all the factions, and when I handed in the tape to Proctor Ingram before on a different save, it started off a chain of missions that immediately made me the enemy of both the Railroad and The Institute without prior warning. Every time I try and speak to Kells, he just tells me to hand in the Institute Network Holotape to Proctor Ingram and that's all he says. My objectives for this quest are now to report to Captain Kells and report my findings to the Brotherhood (the marker for which is on Captain Kells). I've since gone on to find the other distress signals and holotapes, spoken to Paladin Brandis in Recon Bunker Theta and convinced him to return to the Brotherhood of Steel. I found Knight Astlin's Holotape in the National Guard Training Yard to start this quest.
